New classrooms for Parafield Gardens Primary School
A $6.3 million facility upgrade has been officially recognised at Parafield Gardens Primary School featuring new classrooms and an art suite.
The upgrade, completed last year, includes a new building with three classrooms for the school’s year 6 students and a two-room visual arts suite.
Several existing classrooms were also refurbished in the project, creating more flexibility for the school’s Reception classes, giving teachers the option to bring their classes together to learn.
Parafield Gardens Primary School has a long history in the area, and currently supports the learning of about 530 students.
Since 2008, Parafield Gardens Primary School has been recognised as a United Nations Global Peace School in acknowledgement of their work to strive for peace with self, peace with others, and peace with the environment.
Parafield Gardens Primary School Principal Vicki Poulain said, at Parafield Gardens Primary School, we have built a community where students and families feel valued, supported and provided for.
“This upgrade is incredibly welcomed by our school community and has provided our educators with excellent contemporary spaces to support students to learn and thrive”.
“It’s wonderful to have a new building dedicated to our senior students with a modern visual arts suite that’s accessible to all our students; while the refurbished classrooms are vibrant and engaging spaces for our youngest students to feel a strong sense of belonging and establish the foundations as lifelong learners”, Poulain said.
