$23.18m capital works investment

Kapunda High School (fire reinstatement) – major upgrades is undergoing a $23.18m facility upgrade.

Key features of the upgrade include:

Kapunda High School is receiving a facility restoration after the devastating fire in 2022 that caused damage to several buildings, including the heritage listed Eringa building once owned by Sir Sidney Kidman.

Key features of the upgrade include:

  • The restoration of Eringa in accordance with Heritage SA requirements, with the addition of accessibility provisions, an expanded staff area and staff toilet block consolidation.
  • Another building which was also destroyed by the fire is to be replaced.

The upgrade will provide students with world-leading facilities.

$15m capital works investment

Kapunda High School – major upgrades is undergoing a $15m facility upgrade.

Key features of the upgrade include:

  • construction of 2 new buildings that incorporate flexible new learning spaces
  • refurbishment of existing infrastructure to provide flexible, contemporary learning spaces
  • extension to the existing gymnasium to provide dedicated student change rooms, amenities and an access toilet
  • demolition of aged relocatable accommodation and/or lightweight modular facilities including the removal of asbestos.
  • The upgrade will provide students with world-leading facilities.
