Now here’s a really nice cot. If you’re big and tall, this one might actually fit you as it’s roughly 6’4″ long and capable of supporting up to 300 pounds. And surprisingly, it weighs just 13 pounds. If you’re wondering how this is possible, the answer is aircraft grade aluminum.
The frame is made from anodized aircraft grade aluminum, which is lightweight and strong. But World Outdoor Products didn’t stop there, they made sure to add reinforced steel pipes to the insides of the legs in order to ensure that the cot itself is extremely durable, which isn’t all that surprising given that the cot is modeled after a military design.
If you’re wondering how high off the ground you’ll be, you’re looking at 17 inches, which is plenty high if you ask me. That’ll definitely keep you away from most of the critters crawling and slithering around on the ground around here.
As for the fabric itself, it’s made from mildew and water resistant polyester, which can be washed.
Adding to the convenience of this folding cot — which becomes seriously compact when it’s folded up — it comes with a carrying bag that comes in handy when it’s time to store it.
But the real question is whether or not it’s worth the money. If you ask me, it’s not much of a question. It’s a lot of bang for your buck. It’s longer than cots like the Coleman Trailhead II so you can get a little more leg room, so to say. It’s designed so well that I’d be absolutely stunned if I managed to break it so not having to worry about that is an obvious plus. With all things considered, I’d say it’s a steal of a deal and definitely worth the money. If you want to buy one, you can pick one up online from this store.
