Coleman Single Burner Stove Review

This is a really simple stove for camping made by Coleman, but while it might not seem like much, it’s really a nice piece of gear when you’re not only camping, but hiking as well. When you load up your gear and preparation for a hike, you always want to account for the weight and size of everything you’re bringing along with you because you’ll find that after a while, excessive weight and a bulky pack can quickly tire you down and become a nuisance. That’s one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, why I like this compact little propane stove: it’s lightweight and small.

Now while I do like this stove quite a bit due to its convenience when hiking, I do have one minor complaint that is outweighed by its benefits and that’s how long it takes to heat whatever I put on it. Surely, it could be faster, but if you don’t mind waiting a little bit for whatever you put on it to heat up, it’s fine and you can use it to cook just about anything.

Take my last hike for example. After we hiked for a good part of the day, we used it to cook up some grilled cheese sandwiches on a frying pan to go with the condensed tomato soup cans that we brought. Grilled cheese and tomato soup, what more could you want? The next morning, when we all arose, we turned it on and started heating up some bacon and eggs. What a breakfast that was. It always seem to taste better when you’re camping. But anyways, the possibilities are endless – it’s really up to you what you want to use it for. You can even use it to heat up some hot chocolate, which you can then stick in an insulated travel mug like the CamelBak Forge and attach it to your pack.

Probably the best part about this little stove is that it’s cheap. Your pockets aren’t going to be hurting after you pick one up – they’re just that inexpensive. You can check their price here.

Now if you want to pick one up for yourself, I do suggest that you buy it online from this store. They’ve got great deals and their customer service is excellent.
